Sometimes the shadows whisper.
Sometimes I whisper back.

When Wendy's parents made a bargain with a Fate to save her from a deathly illness as a child, they thought the terms were simple: Marry her off before her twentieth birthday or else deliver her over to the Shadow Keeper.

But when a Mate's Mark appears on Wendy's skin, finding a husband becomes a tad more complicated. After all, no one wants a wife mated to another man.

As Wendy's twentieth birthday approaches, and she's yet to find a man who will take her, she and her parents throw a masquerade ball in a last ditch effort to free her from her curse.

But nothing is as it seems, and when disaster strikes, Wendy must choose between running from the shadows and embracing them.

Losing Wendy is a dark fantasy Peter Pan retelling with fated mates, slow-burn enemies to lovers romance, winged fae, and a chilling mystery that will have you guessing at every turn.

This book truly captivated my attention in ways I can't even describe. The tragically adventurous plot shocked me more than once, even when I felt like I was anticipating where the story was headed. I couldn’t put the book down, I was constantly reading next chapter after next chapter racing towards finishing (which was bittersweet since it eventually came to an end).

The balance of main character plot with the subplot/supporting characters was a perfect blend to make me engaged throughout the entirety of the book. Although I was predominantly fixated on Wendy and Peter's interactions, other characters had such captivating development that I felt like I could read a spin of series diving deeper into the world of Neverland and those that inhabit it. I can't wait to read the next, and I know that I'll be returning back to this one again soonThis book truly captivated my attention in ways I can't even describe.
